I don’t see how this episode can miss our key demographic; AKA THE INTERNET. There’s two girls, a cat, and iPads. Sean makes several amazing sound bites, and eventually accuses me of terrible acts of manipulation. Starline does a horrible job representing woman’s equality (but makes up for it at the Apple store), while Hamburger and I share a pink Snuggie. The Supersecretdownlowhollywoodradar is a bit dry, but it’s okay! We make up for it with lots of listener feedback, and the announcement of a new marketing strategy.

We’re not giving the kids enough credit. We think we can make productions quick and easy with these fake-ass CGI animals, and they won’t know the difference. That is malarkey. Show me a child that isn’t terrified of the new Marmaduke trailer, and I’ll show you a child with Autism.  Back when we were kids, animal movies were real animals. Kitties gave birth to kitties, and dogs only talked when their mouths were full of peanut butter. This is tragic.

It’s just kind of misleading, how all these people around Los Angeles make Craigslist ads about big piles of clean, gently used, sturdy boxes with bubble wrap and packaging peanuts and stuff, and then it’s not there. You get all excited, you fill up your gas tank, pack a lunch and listen to This American Life as you crawl down the 405, then you’re face to face with failure and disappointment. If Sean and had a chance to fix this situation, we’d do it right. We’d track down the best, sturdiest boxes ever, then distribute them to the needy people around the city. We’d practically be superheroes. Instead of donating to the Red Cross for disaster relief and bags of blood, people would send us money to find even better boxes and invest in even higher quality rubber stamps. Kickstarter accounts would open in our names, so that we might one day make the finest box-chapel that has ever stood on Shoushen and Crenshaw. Corrugated cardboard statues would be constructed in our likeness, and the many box experiences of this fair town would never be as awful as they are today. It would be a new era, something that the likes of mankind has never seen.

It’s amazing how much debate can be inspired by one of the least understood and under-appreciated Olympic sports. Sean seems convinced that Luge is a better gig because there’s no brooms. BK thinks curling requires more training and finesse. This debate doesn’t last for more than five minutes, so don’t be concerned about that. We are in a bit of a professional rut. Sean is editing cable ads, BK is doing corporate work, and Star still hasn’t successfully called a hooker in Los Angeles. After spending a bit of time fretting about our situation, we go on to discuss bonus vaginas and incredible/traumatizing birthday parties. This is the perfect episode for anybody hoping to escape sportsball coverage, and discover a new fetish. This is a terrible episode for anybody remotely related to any of us.

People need to start thinking things through before they try to pull styles.  Stupid 13 year old girl, and stupid 13 year old girl’s mother – What did you expect to happen when you were brought into Jack Nicholson’s bedroom for a “Vogue photoshoot”?  And you, guy building a bunker for the apocalypse.  Do you really think cat food is going to sustain you for the day that God himself dictates “this is how all the shit’s going to be”?  And Jordan, how are you going to get a book deal about your heart surgery if you livestream the outcome over the internet?  Hello?  Spoiler alert? I know it’s no “Snape kills Dumbledore” situation, but you could really do a better job keeping people in the dark about your aortic valve replacement.  You have our heartfelt (LOL) support, but jeeze—save something for the fourth act.

It’s just frustrating.  You people need to get less excited about your best-case scenario outcomes and keep an open mind for potential failures.  Maybe the old man feeding you quaaludes and asking you to take off your underwear is a sexual predator.  Maybe the hospital Wifi will go out.  Maybe Sony Pictures should have realized that people might go to their craptastic website for their craptastic film.  Ridiculous.

Two car tandem parking is ten points, while two car side-by-side is fifteen. Central air and heating is worth twenty, while wall-units is only ten. Ownership of property is worth one tenth of one point per square foot, but a solid sense of humor is an automatic fifty points. There can be maths! It doesn’t matter if the situation is dating strategy or looking for a good lease. There has to be a way to crunch numbers, and validate your efforts. Everything can be formulaic and simple—why waste effort on judgment and thought? It doesn’t have to be painful.

Brian and company struggle with pleasure and power- what’s to become of them amongst meatball fountains and resource based economies? It’s a slippery, slippery slope.  This show is odd.  Lots of live callers, no regular segments, and a cheesecake scented candle.  Bring your beer, bonfires, burgers and bongs. Christina went to some girlish party (see album art), and everybody gets to thinking.  How can we create the male equivalent?  How does one measure vaginal depth?
